| it takes a few tries to get things right... |
This may be the easiest diy I have attempted in a while. I have
decouped paper to my mason jar lids before and found the shape of the lid a
little awkward for thicker paper but washi tape is the perfect mix of
pattern and flexibility. The tape I used was quite sheer so I had to play around with it a bit. First I tried just gold paint to even out the lid color, if I had a more patterned washi tape this would have been just fine. The lids ended up looking like I just covered them with tape so I went back and painted OVER the washi tape layer with white paint it really stuck well and made a great base for the second layer of washi.
Overall I think it turned out pretty nice my jars are looking gooood.
oohhh that's cool!!! love the muted/pastel colours!! :D

To be honest, I feel like we are SO alike its scary! I LOVE thrifting like a mad woman and I have furnished most of my little apartment with second hand finds that I have made over. I also LOVE baking and I even have a little treasure box (okay its a huge box) filled with colorings and sprinkles and things like that! You should def try a bit of salt in your baking! Its great on cookies, caramels, and chocolate cakes I swear!
